Rockets trading for Chris Paul keeps him from the Spurs

Today on Granato and Raheel with Del, the guys reacted to the news of Chris Paul being trade to the Rockets. The Rockets are moving Pat Beverley, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams, and a 2018 first round pick to the Clippers in return for Paul.

The guys think that both players being able to distribute the ball and score in transition should really help the team. One of the elements of the trade that excites Raheel, is the fact that Paul can’t go to San Antonio now that he has been traded to Houston. This move not only improves the Rockets, but also keeps the Spurs from getting better. One of the concerns Granato has is the health of Chris Paul at 32-years-old, and his fit on the team as the roster is presently constructed. On the flip side, Paul’s health and longevity may improve in Houston, because Harden can take some minutes off him when it comes to running the point.
