There’s no reason for Duane Brown to show up

Today on the show, Fred and A.J. talked about Texans LT Duane Brown choosing to skip OTAs because he wants a new contract. Brown has no remaining guaranteed money left on his deal, and he knows he is the best player on the offensive line. The Texans did not take a player in the draft that is ready to replace him, but he is on the wrong side of thirty and missed several games due to injury last year. Brown is making just under $10 million per year for the next two seasons, but if he shows up to camp and hurts himself he could be in serious trouble.

Now is not the time to give him more money

The guys don’t think he will hold out once he is missing mandatory practices that will cause him to be fined, but giving him an incentive-laden contract might be a nice compromise.
