Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Clippers are trading Chris Paul to the Rockets. The Clippers will receive Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Lou Williams, and a 2018 1st round pick in exchange for the nine-time All Star. Paul opted in on the last year of his contract with the Clippers for $24.2 million which allowed the Clippers to execute a trade with the Rockets. This will make it possible for the Rockets to sign Paul to a five-year 205 million dollar extension.
Chris Paul averaged over 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assist per game last season. The 32-year-old played in 61 games last year while shooting over 41% from the 3-point line.
