According to several reports, the Astros have traded for left-handed pitcher Francisco Liriano. Liriano might be used out of the bullpen, and they can certainly use some left-handed relief pitching. Tony Sipp is the only lefty the Astros have in the bullpen currently, and his performance has been underwhelming this season to say the least. Liriano is 6-5 with an ERA of 5.88 this season, but his true value will come as a left-handed specialist. Brian McTaggart is reporting that the Astros gave up OF Nori Aoki and a minor league player to make the deal for Liriano.
#BlueJays and #Astros deal for Francisco Liriano is pending a physical. Sounds like an outfielder in coming back in return
