Hoopscritic.com’s, Brian Geltzeiler, joined Granato and Raheel with Del and talked about the lackluster NBA playoffs, the poor approach the Cavs are taking in the series, and the mistake the players association made that is creating a lack of parity in the NBA.

Durant knocked the balance of power in the NBA on its ear

The lack of cap smoothing is what caused the Warriors to be able to put together this loaded team with Kevin Durant, and the players turned it down because they didn’t want to deflate salaries. This is a transition year for the NBA and the players association will have to revisit cap smoothing going forward, or this problem with persist.

There are several things the Cavs can do to improve their chances

Geltzeiler said that LeBron James needs to walk the ball up the floor on every possession to keep the Warriors from getting easy points in transition. Brian thinks that this strategy would be worthwhile even if the Cavs miss out on some easy points in the process. Finally, the Cavs need to play Tristan Thompson more in the series and use him to defend Kevin Durant.
