HBO’s, Jim Lampley, joined The Blitz and shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. Lampley doesn’t think the fight will live up to expectations, and believes it will have the same outcome as Mayweather-Pacquiao. After studying some analytics, Lampley has come to the conclusion that McGregor is a counter-puncher, and Mayweather has performed very well against counter-punchers throughout his career. Mayweather has struggled with face first brawlers that forced him into the ropes, and he doesn’t see McGregor throwing enough punches to challenge Floyd. Finally, the amount of time Conor is going to have to stay on his feet in this fight is unlike anything he has done in his MMA career.
