George Springer placed on 10-day DL with quad issue

George Springer left Monday’s game against the Phillies early after feeling some tightness in his quad. The Astros called up Derek Fisher while Springer rested for a couple days before the off-day on Thursday. It looks like Springer will get a few more days to rest after he was placed on the 10-day DL today, retroactive to July 25th. Springer is having a fantastic year for the Astros batting .310 with 27 bombs and 66 RBI. Hopefully his bat won’t be out of the lineup for an extended period.
