The United States failing to qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia is perhaps the biggest disappointment in American soccer history. Feathers have been ruffled, and voices have been heard, but none probably more than that of Eric Wynalda. Last night, Wynalda joined Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis to discuss why he will be running for the presidency of the U.S. Soccer Federation.
In his discussion with Glenn, Wynalda shared his insight into the real business of American soccer, why he is for promotion and relegation, and how poorly youth development is handled in our country.
Additionally, Wynalda hit on some very captivating topics like how Germany handled their soccer reboot, how poorly the money in american soccer is handled, and how the mentality of those involved has to change.
Listen to Glenn’s compelling discussion with Wynalda below.
Heads up, next week’s edition of Soccer Matters will air on a special date, Monday, December 4th.
