Today on the show, a caller asked Fred and A.J. if the Rockets making it to the conference finals could influence top free agents to come to Houston. A player like Paul George could be a great get, but would he want to give up being a number one option and defer to James Harden? The crown jewel of free agency this year is Chris Paul, but the chances of him wanting to come to Houston are slim to none, and the Rockets have already invested so much time placing James in that role.

At the end of the day, each player is going to make his own decision based on location, money, and a chance to win. The problem with making these assumptions at this point of the year is that things change fast in the NBA, and it’s hard to tell where players will want to be next season.

Serge Ibaka could be a target

The Rockets could pursue Serge Ibaka to increase their size in the front court, and a team like the Rockets could very well interest him, especially after the injury to Nene that cost him the rest of the postseason.
