Do we really trust this Rockets team to hold their ground in the playoffs, or is the city of Houston in store for another painful let down? Things have almost been too good to be true for the Rockets this season, as the two headed monster of James Harden and Chris Paul; including a deep supporting staff around them, made most of the regular season look like a cake walk, until now. With just three games left, John and Lance voice their concerns and speculations on The Bench, after the Rockets gave up a twenty point lead over the Portland Trail Blazers in last night’s game, and the first signs of team chemistry troubles were seen and vocalized.
Flashes of Harden’s poor play painfully reminds us of last season’s playoff crash. James turned the ball over multiple times and missed two key free-throws as the game came down to the final minutes. Though Chris Paul secured the victory with a last second shot, his play was nothing to feel good about. Fans cannot help but worry about the possibility of Harden dropping off in clutch playoff moments much like was witnessed last season, and the rest of the team following closely behind.
