Astros would protect Correa first if expansion draft was implemented

The one player the Astros would be crazy not to protect in an expansion draft is Carlos Correa. Correa has a legitimate chance to win the MVP this season, and he is only 22-years-old. The other two players mentioned are CF George Springer and SP Dallas Keuchel. I understand the temptation to protect a starting pitcher like Keuchel, but I wonder if the Astros will pay him to stay when he hits free agency.
