Astros place Sipp and Feliz on DL

The Astros continue to deal with injuries at an alarming pace. Today, the Astros placed relief pitcher Tony Sipp on the disabled list with right calf soreness. Sipp has been struggling this season with an ERA of 6.47, so a stint on the DL might do him some good. The Astros traded for a left-handed relief pitcher yesterday, Francisco Liriano, so hopefully he can handle Sipp’s role while he is dealing with the injury. Michael Feliz was also added to the DL with right shoulder discomfort, and he will be replaced by Jordan Jankowski, who was called up again to take Feliz’s spot on the roster.
