Today on Undisputed, Skip and Shannon talked about DeAndre Hopkins’ positive comments about Tom Savage, and his thoughts on Savage deserving to get a shot as the Texans starter. Skip is very bullish on starting Watson right away, and believes the Texans should start him tonight and let him play two quarters. Bayless believes Watson could make an impact similar to what Dak Prescott did for the Cowboys last year, and Watson needs reps to be ready for the season.

Shannon thinks that Watson should be the starter eventually, but discussed several successful QBs that didn’t start their first preseason game after being drafted. Cam Newton didn’t start his first preseason game, and he eventually started the first regular season game for the Panthers his rookie season. Either way, people are going to watch Watson very closely when he gets into the game tonight. Texans coach, Bill O’Brien, said that Watson will play tonight, and he will have his chance to impress in front of a national audience. That’s something he’s been pretty damn good at so far in his career.
